First Track Day Turbo NSX *CATCHES FIRE*
After 2 years of ownership, I was finally able to get some seat time in the Turbo NSX. After a whole brand new setup and many months of planning and building, finally brought it out to NYST for a "test and tune" to learn the lines and get a feel for the car and where it needs to be improved.

Today we install the Zanardi Type-S Shift Lever in my USDM NSX! Install is rather easy once you remove the center shift console trim! Basic hand tools (10mm, 12mm) and screwdriver are all you need. Congrats on the R8! Gen 1 V8, gated manual with a loud exhaust is definitely a dream car for me. I live in the UK and prefer back road corners to just straight line speed so I feel like this car would be perfect for me. Looking forward to more videos on yours!

Sure it’s an E12? On another video somebody said E11. Also, I think manual says to turn it clockwise until it stops and then you keep doing everything else, want to make sure I get it right

USDM Evo 8/9 RS didn't have the option of Brembos like the real JDM Evo RS! only way to not run them was to have 15in steel rims

Powertrain wise, the cars are nearly identical. I prefer the electronics and interior of the FL5

Im thinking of purchasing this Haltech. Whats the advantage of this Ecu?
For what car and what mods? Highly modded, especially 90s cars will end up needing a standalone once you change turbo, injector size, fuel type, etc. With a standalone you can wire in a bunch of sensors that didnt come factory and you can setup CAN displays for your sensor readings. Plus launch control, boost by gear, and tuning safety nets. The list just keeps going on but that’s the gist of what standalones are for. However, wont pass emissions in most states unless exempt by mileage or age.

@@BuyYourBuild I actually figured it out. It’s not the dash it’s the plastic around the rear view mirror. I installed a dash cam and the noice went away because the plastic is hitting the cord now and not plastic.

Yes its subtle but very clean and a good tone. Not ricey at all
